Free to download — no subscription, no barriers. Coming soon to the App Store.
Summary. SpaCheckup has no account system, no analytics, no advertising SDKs, and no server of our own. Everything you enter into the app — water test readings, spa settings, and treatment history — is stored only on your device and is never sent anywhere. Two third-party services are involved in narrow, specific ways: RevenueCat keeps track of whether you have unlocked the paid features, and tapping a product link takes you to Amazon. Details below.

What data SpaCheckup stores

SpaCheckup stores the following information locally on your device only, using Apple’s standard on-device storage:

This data never leaves your device. Deleting the app permanently deletes all of it.

What SpaCheckup does not do

Notifications

If you enable maintenance reminders, SpaCheckup schedules local notifications on your device. These are generated and delivered entirely by iOS on your device — no push-notification service is involved, and no data is transmitted to us or to third parties. You can revoke notification permission at any time in iOS Settings.

Purchases

SpaCheckup is free to download and offers one optional, one-time in-app purchase. Your purchase is processed entirely by Apple; we never see your name, email address, or payment details. Apple’s handling of your purchase is governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy. Refunds are handled by Apple through reportaproblem.apple.com.

To remember that you have unlocked the paid features — so your purchase still works after you reinstall or switch devices — the app uses RevenueCat, a purchase-management service. When you make or restore a purchase, RevenueCat receives a randomly generated anonymous ID, your App Store purchase receipt, and basic device information such as device model, operating system version, and country. It does not receive your name, email address, payment details, or any of your spa data. We use it only to verify entitlement, not for analytics or advertising. See RevenueCat’s Privacy Policy.

Product links

SpaCheckup includes links to recommended products on Amazon. We participate in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, which means we may earn a commission from qualifying purchases at no additional cost to you. These links are disclosed wherever they appear in the app and on this site.

The links carry an affiliate tag that tells Amazon the visit came from SpaCheckup. No information about you or your spa is attached to that link. Once you land on Amazon, your activity is governed by Amazon’s Privacy Notice — including any cookies or tracking Amazon applies. We receive only aggregate, anonymous commission reporting from Amazon; we cannot see who clicked or what any individual bought. Tapping a product link is always optional and never required to use the app.

Children’s privacy

SpaCheckup does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.

This website

This website (spacheckup.com) is a static site. It does not use cookies and does not collect personal information. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to measure aggregate, anonymous traffic (such as page views, referring sites, and general country/device type). This is a privacy-first, cookieless analytics service that does not track individuals, does not fingerprint your device, and does not store or share any personal data. Our web host may also keep standard, anonymous server logs (such as request timestamps) for operational purposes.

Changes to this policy

If SpaCheckup ever changes in a way that affects your privacy — which would be a significant departure from its local-only design — we will update this policy and change the effective date above before the change takes effect.
